Publicity

My work has been featured in many news sources, including The New York Times, BBC, The Guardian, The Washington Post, CBS News, National Geographic (numerous times), The New Zealand Herald and New Zealand Stuff. I have also been interviewed on the radio numerous times – examples include Radio New Zealand, BBC, CBC (Canada) and ABC (Australia).

I have featured on the New Zealand children's television show Fanimals, and on New Zealand current affairs show Seven Sharp. I have also been interviewed on podcasts, such as on Dave Brodbeck’s Spit and Twitches, and on Steve Olivas’s The Commute.

I routinely assist journalists by providing photographs and by providing my expertise for articles about other people’s research. Examples include National Geographic, The Atlantic and Quanta Magazine.

I also have experience as a spider consultant for documentaries and books, such as this children’s graphic novel (Spiders: Worldwide Webs) by Tait Howard for First Second Books. Please let me know if you are looking for a spider consultant and interested in collaborating (fee to be negotiated).

All photographs on this website were taken by me. If you want to use any of my photographs, please get in touch.
